In 2001 "Salsoleros" (formed by Oscar Coronado) and "Sin City Salseros" (formed by Nathan Strager) merged into one group as "Sin City Salseros". Oscar Coronado took on the responsibilities as Director and promoter. Continuing to train and comprise new routines, spending a lot of time rehearsing, we worked at different venues, including Mandalay Bay , MGM, Rio, Bellagio, Tropicana, and many other venues in Las Vegas . We also performed at conventions, Slot Turnimate, Brazilian Parties, and many different Latin events in Las Vegas .
A few key events that we performed at are the Rio Hotel with Paul Ank at his anniversary party, at Siegfried and Roy 's Birthday party at the Mirage, and at the Horse Shoe's New Years Eve party of 2002.
We knew we needed to expand our abilities; we started traveling to Los Angeles , San Francisco , New Mexico , Phoenix , and other cities, meeting other dance companies and creating relationships with them, all while learning and creating new styles of salsa.
By 2002, Salsa in Las Vegas grew and Sin City Salseros was right there as the top dance company in Las Vegas . Becoming the figure for Salsa Dancing in Las Vegas, inspired us to grow and further our involvement with the social seen and club seen, we promoted and held more workshops then ever before. We moved on and performed at the West Coast LA Congress and San Francisco Congress. We now continue to tour different cities and perform at congresses and events.
As Salsa is growing in Las Vegas , our goal is to build a large Salsa community, and we are determined and dedicated to teach this beautiful dance in Las Vegas . |
